French startup S4M (Solutions for Mobile) has raised a $8 million Series A round of funding from Entrepreneurs Venture and Bpifrance digital fund
to grow its mobile performance technologies globally. Until recently
they were self funded and, they say, profitable since day one. It has an
analytics and programmatic mobile demand platform which applies
so-called ‘intelligent’ technology to proprietary big data.
Launched in 2012 by AdTech veteran Christophe Collet, the company has already built a client list including the likes of BMW, Levis, Cartier, Disney, MacDonalds and Nissan, and has strong traction as a mobile performance advertising player in France. Now it wants to go global with its product.
Their main competitor is DoubleClick Stack, but they think their
products – because they have been built from the ground up for mobile by
native mobile – that they have the technological advantage.
