Three new Samsung curved monitors target budget buyers

Samsung-SD590C-Curved-moniotor-review-stand-side Following the reveal of a curved monitor at CES 2015, Samsung announced on April 2 that the 31.5-inch SE590C Series, 27-inch SE591C Series and SE510C Series monitors will be available in North America by May. All of the monitors are targeted toward professionals and mainstream consumers alike.
“We’ve seen a lot of excitement around curved displays, first with our TV line and again with the SE790C curved monitor we introduced at CES 2015,” said Dave Das, senior vice president at Samsung Electronics America. “We’re excited to be expanding our curved monitor line to give consumers more options. Samsung’s range of curved monitors meets the demands of every consumer, whether they’re looking for a high resolution viewing experience or a more accessible full-HD monitor that still offers premium quality.”

The SE590C Series and SE591C Series have 1,920 x 1,080 resolutions, and both come with DisplayPort. While the SE590C has two HDMI ports, the SE591C only comes with one. However, the SE591C has a VGA port, which separates it from the SE590C in terms of connectivity.
The SE510C Series comes in at 23.6 inches and 27 inches, and it has both an HDMI and VGA. Regardless of which monitor size you choose, you’ll get the same 1,920 x 1,080 resolution as you do with the SE590C and SE591C Series.

The curvature of the monitors ranges from 3000R (SE590C) to 4000R (SE591C and SE510C). Samsung notes that the curve design of the monitors may be especially helpful to consumers who are looking to reduce eye strain and fatigue.
All of the monitors have 178-degree viewing angles, as well as the ability to tilt for additional convenience. Samsung has integrated eco-saving technology into the monitors, meaning their brightness can be reduced to save energy.
The SE590C will begin at $599.99, while the SE591C will retail for $399.99. The SE510C will start at $299.99. Whether you want to give your eyes a break or replace an old monitor, Samsung might have what you’re looking for this May
